One Vietnamese national injured in Bangkok blast

A Vietnamese man has been confirmed to sustain slight injuries in a bomb attack in central Bangkok on the evening of August 17, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Tat Thanh confirmed.

A Vietnamese man has been confirmed to sustain slight injuries in a bomb attack in central Bangkok on the evening of August 17, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Tat Thanh confirmed on August 18.

According to the ambassador, the Vietnamese national named Mai Van Truong is being treated at Klang general hospital in Bangkok, and it is likely that he is the only Vietnamese victim in the blast.

The confirmation was made after the Vietnamese embassy contacted the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local police stations and 13 hospitals receiving the blast’s victims.

The embassy is working with two remaining hospitals where blast victims have been brought to for treatment to seek more information, while posting a notice on its website warning Vietnamese citizens against traveling around the blast site.-VNA
