Over 12,700 tonnes of rice to be given to people during Tet, between-crop period

The General Department of State Reserves under the Ministry of Finance has decided to provide 12,736 tonnes of rice from the national reserve to support 849,127 people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival and the between-crop period.

Hanoi (VNA) - The General Department of State Reserves under theMinistry of Finance has decided to provide 12,736 tonnes of rice from thenational reserve to support 849,127 people on the occasion of the Lunar NewYear (Tet) Festival and the between-crop period.

Accordingly, by February 9 (the 30th day of the last lunar month), 10,401 tonnes of rice will be allocated to 17localities, namely Soc Trang, Kon Tum, Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Gia Lai, Binh Dinh,Cao Bang, Nghe An, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Bac Lieu, Ninh Thuan, Binh Phuoc, QuangNgai, Kien Giang, An Giang and Tay Ninh.

Meanwhile, more than 2,300 tonnes will bedelivered to people in Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Kien Giang, AnGiang and Lang Son provinces for March 15 to assist them in the between-cropperiod.

At present, the departments of statereserves in regions are coordinating with departments and agencies oflocalities to ensure the process of supply, delivery and issue of rice inaccordance with regulations./.

Resettlement, site clearance for Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear plant gets underway

According to the Khanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee, the resettlement and site clearance project carries a total investment of about 6.7 trillion VND (about 255 million USD). Of the total, approximately 5.28 trillion VND is earmarked for compensation and site clearance, around 1.15 trillion VND for construction and equipment, and nearly 287 billion VND for project management, consultancy, other expenses and contingencies.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways to launch first international direct flight on March 29
