Over 2,000 ecstasy pills seized at Tan Son Nhat airport

Customs and police officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City have seized 2,065 ecstasy pills being smuggled into Vietnam.
Customs and police officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City have seized 2,065 ecstasy pills being smuggled into Vietnam.

The smuggler, a 26-year-old Vietnamese who lives in Canada, was travelling on flight CX767 from Hong Kong to HCM City.

While completing the passenger’s entry procedures, customs officers became suspicious and discovered the pills after searching the suspected’s luggage.

The case will now be taken on by the Police Department for the Investigation of Drug-related Crimes.-VNA
