HCM City (VNA) – Myriad activities honouring the traditionaldress of ao dai brought close to 3.5 million visitors, including 480,000foreigners, to Ho Chi Minh City last month.
According to the municipal Tourism Department, theseactivities generated over 15.97 trillion VND (665.6 million USD) in revenue.
This year, the annual ao dai festival, a signature event ofthe southern metropolis for a decade, featured a mass fashion show of 5,000people wearing the costume, a trade fair, as well as a wide range of online andoffline competitions attracting thousands.
In addition, more than 30,000 ao dai were given awayto women from all walks of life, particularly those with disadvantaged backgrounds.
First launched in 2024, the festival also set a record forbeing the most frequently held annual event honouring and promoting thetraditional dress./.
Over 5,000 people clad in "Ao dai" (Vietnamese traditional gown) joined a parade in Ho Chi Minh City on March 8 as part of the city’s ongoing 10th Ao Dai Festival.

The “Homeland Spring – Great Unity Tet Osaka 2026” programme was held on January 4 at Ikuno Park in Osaka, drawing thousands of visitors and offering a lively platform for cultural exchange, community connection and shared celebration.
