More than 400 businesses from 22 nations and territories have registered to join the 21st international medical, hospital and pharmaceutical exhibition (Vietnam Medipharm Expo), which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from August 3-5.

Hanoi (VNA) – More than 400 businesses from 22 nations and territorieshave registered to join the 21st international medical, hospital andpharmaceutical exhibition (Vietnam Medipharm Expo), which will take place in HoChi Minh City from August 3-5.

The exhibitors will showcase healthcare products, foodsupplements, medical equipment, and hospital services and equipment in 450 booths.

The expo will offer organisations and businessesopportunities to exchange experiences, promote their products,seize investment opportunities, and promote cooperation to improve efficiencyin production and business.

A series of seminars and B2B matching will be held on thesidelines of the event, including seminars on opportunities to developIndonesia - Vietnam trade in medical products, innovation potential and achievementsof the health sector of Russia’s St. Petersburg, and a Vietnam - IndiaPharmaceutical Business Forum.

Enterprises from the Republic of Korea will host a series of seminars introducing new methods of treatment in the fields of dentistry,ophthalmology, cosmetology, rehabilitation, respiratory, and post-surgerycross-infection.

The expo is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade’sVinexad JSC in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Medical EquipmentAssociation./.

Finance ministry eyes flexible tax thresholds

In a draft law amending several articles of the laws on personal income tax, corporate income tax and value-added tax, Vietnam's finance ministry proposed scrapping the fixed revenue threshold of 500 million VND. Instead, it suggested the threshold be set by the Government based on prevailing economic conditions.
