Hanoi (VNA) – A total of 65,776 Vietnamese people, including 23,946 women, went abroad to work in the first seven months of this year, according to statistics from labour export companies.
With the figure, the country met 65.78 percent of the target for this year.
China’s Taiwan, Japan and the Republic of Korea remained the three biggest employers of Vietnamese workers, with 6,040 people, 3,533 people and 1,105 people, respectively.
In July, 11,645 people, including 4,154 women, were contracted to work overseas.
In 2015, approximately 116,000 labourers were sent abroad to work.-VNA
