As many as 82,626 tourists visited the imperial City of Hue, in the central province Thua Thien-Hue, during the “Gold Tourism Month” that ran from September 2-30, according to the Hue Relic Conservation Centre.
During the month, the centre introduced a number of new tourism services, providing visitors’ the chance to enjoy royal court cuisine and art performances, along with traditional promotional measures such as discounts for entrance tickets and electric bus trips, and a group discount for more than 10 visitors.
As a result, the centre generated 6.26 trillion VND in revenue during the special promotion month, up by 8.32 percent compared to the same period last year.
The centre is preparing to launch a similar promotional progamme from December 24-30 to attract more visitors.
In addition, Thua Thien-Hue province will step up its tourism promotion measures and host famtrips from Japan, the Republic of Korea and Thailand to explore Hue’s ancient imperial city and the central provinces. It will organise roadshows in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and the central region with the aim of attracting more visitors from these localities.
