Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand have elected a provisional executive board for the Federation of All Vietnamese in Thailand , in preparation for the official establishment of the federation.

The result was achieved during Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Ngo Duc Thang’s tour to the northeastern provinces of Sakon Nakhon and Udon Thani to inquire into Overseas Vietnamese affairs.

In Sakon Nakhon province, Thang chaired a meeting on the building of Overseas Vietnamese communities and deployment of fatherland front work. The meeting was attended by the chairmen of Vietnamese associations in eight northeastern provinces in Thailand .

During the tour, the diplomat and his entourage paid courtesy visits to the two provincial leaders, who have affirmed their provision of all favourable conditions for Vietnamese living and working there.

They visited the memorial site to the late President Ho Chi Minh in Udon Thani province and Rajabhat Udon Thani university, where the largest number of Vietnamese students is learning and taking postgraduate courses.

The Vietnamese embassy was asked to act as a bridge for Rajabhat Udon Thani university to expand its cooperation with universities and colleges in Vietnam ’s northern and central regions./.
