A Politburo member has reiterated the Vietnamese Party and State’sconsistent policy that the overseas Vietnamese community is aninseparable part of the nation.
Dinh The Huynh, Secretary of the CPV’s Central Committee and head ofits Commission for Popularisation and Education, made the remark whilemeeting the Vietnamese community in Germany on September 9, duringhis on-going visit to the European country.
Hegave them an overview of the country’s current situation, including theeconomic and financial restructuring process; the promotion of criticismand self-criticism within the Party; recent economic court cases; andthe Party and State’s stance on the East Sea issue.
Huynh also acknowledged that many OV’s want their children to learnthe Vietnamese language and need more State support for programmes thatpromote Vietnamese culture in Germany .
Representatives from the Vietnamese community expressed their belief inthe Party and State’s guidelines and polices, saying that everyVietnamese person in Germany will act as a diplomat to attract moreinvestment to Vietnam as well as promote the country’s tourism.
During their trip, the Vietnamese delegation will undertake numerousdiplomatic activities to strengthen ties between the CPV and politicalparties in Germany.-VNA
