The Vietnamese People’s Association in Russia and the Moscow Peace Fund on June 1 presented gifts to orphan and handicapped students at the Boarding High School No. 81 in Moscow.
First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia Le Minh Dan and First Deputy President of the Vietnamese People’s Association in Russia Tran Phu Thuan joined others in the activity, which took place on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.
Dan congratulated the students on the International Children’s Day and urged them to overcome difficulties and do their utmost in study so as to become helpful citizens for society.
He also suggested the school’s leaders hold regular exchanges between the school’s students and Vietnamese peers to help them enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
The school’s rector Galina Nalivaiko thanked the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese People’s Association for their warm sentiments towards the students, describing them as an encouragement for the students and the school.
The rector also voiced support for Dan’s proposal to organise exchanges between the school’s students and their Vietnamese counterparts./.
