Around 100 pupils from 13 primary and secondary schools in Hanoi joined a painting contest on August 13 to depict the people, landscapes and friendship between Vietnam and Australia.
The event was a response to the successful art contest organised for pupils from the two countries launched in May by the Hanoi Union of Friendship, the Vietnam-Australia Friendship Association in Hanoi and the Australian Embassy.
That contest was praised by the embassy’s First Secretary, Angela Pickett, who said that it would help pupils of both countries learn from each other and consolidate their friendship.-VNA
