Party Central Committee extends greetings to 9th Congress of Workers’ Party of Korea

It also reaffirms that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attach importance to strengthening the fine cooperative relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Workers’ Party of Korea, as well as between the two States and people of Vietnam and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam has sent a message of congratulations to the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

The message writes: “The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam warmly extends its heartfelt congratulations to the 9th National Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea and congratulates the WPK on the great achievements it has recorded while leading the fraternal Korean people in the cause of building and developing a socialist country."

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam is confident that the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea will serve as an important milestone, guiding the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in successfully fulfilling its set goals.

It also reaffirms that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attach importance to strengthening the fine cooperative relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Workers’ Party of Korea, as well as between the two States and people of Vietnam and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea./.

The leaders congratulated General Secretary Lam on his re-election and conveyed congratulations to the Party, State, and people of Vietnam on the successful organisation of the 14th National Party Congress. Vietnamese Party chief receives US Trade Representative

The Party chief welcomed the positive results achieved in the negotiation process of a reciprocal trade agreement and highly appreciated the role, attention and support of the US Trade Representative. He stated that Vietnamese agencies would continue to coordinate closely with the US side so that the two sides could finalise the agreement soon.

Party General Secretary To Lam holds phone talks with US senators

Vietnam and the US should maintain stable and sustainable economic, trade, and investment ties, and the US Congress should continue allocating resources to assist Vietnam in addressing war legacy issues, particularly the dioxin remediation project at Bien Hoa Airport, unexploded ordnance clearance, support for persons with disabilities and war victims, and enhanced assistance in searching for, recovering, and identifying missing Vietnamese soldiers.

Party leader arrives in US for inaugural meeting of Gaza Board of Peace

As a founding member, Vietnam wishes to work with other members to promote the role of the Gaza Board of Peace in advancing peace and reconstruction in Gaza on the basis of resolutions of the UN Security Council, ensuring the legitimate interests of all parties, especially the Palestinian people, in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
