Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary andPresident Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting of the Sub-Committee in charge ofdocuments for the 13th National Party Congress in Hanoi on September 11.

Attending the event were Politburo member and Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen ThiKim Ngan.

Speaking at the event, the Party chief, who is also head ofthe sub-committee, wished that the sub-committee’s members would continue givingfeedback on draft documents to submit to the upcoming plenum of the PartyCentral Committee for consideration, before being tabled for discussion at theNational Party Congress.

As documents for the congress hold strategic significance,he asked the editorial team to raise their sense of responsibility andthoroughly consider each word and sentence.

He requested that economic and Party building reports mustbe based on political report which should be used as a foundation.  

Participants gave their opinions on core contents of thedraft Political Platform, theme of the 13th National Party Congress, theimplementation of the Resolution adopted by the 12th National Party Congress,and national development targets till 2025, 2030 with a vision to 2045,strategic breakthroughs and orientations to development in various areas./.
