Party chief requests clarification about local senior official
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has requested an examination of news published by Thanh Nien (Youth) newspaper regarding Vice Chairman of the Hau Giang provincial People’s Commitee.
Vice Chairman of the Mekong Delta Hau Giang provincial People’s Committee Trinh Xuan Thanh (Source: VNA) The dispatch wrote that the paper, issue No.155 dated June 2, ran a story reporting on a private car running with a State license plate and “heritage” of the Vice Chairman of the Hau Giang People’s Committee.
The Party leader asked the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission to work with the Home Affairs, Inspection and Emulation and Commendation Commissions, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Party civil affairs committees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the State Audit Office, the Hau Giang provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group to verify information revealed by the paper.
The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, relevant agencies and localities must promptly inspect the case and reach a conclusion, considering it a must-do job and report the conclusion to the Secretariat, the Party General Secretary requested.-VNA
