
Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamand Morocco should strengthen bilateral relations, bring into play cooperationmechanisms and increase the exchange of delegations at all level as well aspeople-to-people exchanges, said General Secretary of the Communist Party ofVietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong.
The Party leader made thesuggestion during a reception for President of the Moroccan House ofRepresentatives Habib El Malki in Hanoi on December 19.
He welcomed Malki’s visit,describing it as a highlight in friendly relations between the two legislaturesand the two nations in general.
Trong took this occasion to thankMorocco for its solidarity with and support to Vietnam during its past strugglefor national liberation and reunification and the current process of nationalconstruction and development.
The Party chief also spoke highlyof Morocco’s role in the Middle East-North Africa region.
For his part, Malki affirmed hisdesire and determination to promote the friendship and cooperation between thetwo countries and the two parliaments in particular.
He urged the two countries tocapitalise on opportunities and potential to foster bilateral ties for mutualdevelopment.
The President lauded Vietnam’s externaland internal policies as well as its achievements and role in the region andthe world.
He believed that under theleadership of the CPV, the Vietnamese people would obtain greater successes inthe process of national construction, protection and development.-VNA
