A delegation of the Party Central Committee's Commission for ExternalRelations led by the commission’s chairman Hoang Binh Quan is on aworking visit to Laos to strengthen bonds with their Lao counterparts.
The delegation was received by the Party GeneralSecretary and President of Laos Chummaly Sayasone on July 24, whoappreciated the cooperation between the external relations commissionsof the two Parties, saying that it contributes to strengthening the tiesbetween the two countries.
The Lao leaderwished the two commissions would closely coordinate, increase exchangesand share experience to help each other successfully implement externalpolicies of the Party of each country.
He saidhe believes the Vietnamese Party and people would successfully organisegrassroots party congresses as well as the 12th National Party Congressand confirmed that the Lao party and people always treasure therelationships with Vietnam.
Hoang Binh Quaninformed the Lao Party General Secretary of the social-economicsituation in Vietnam in the first seven months of this year andpreparations for the 12th Party Congress.
Hecongratulated Laos on the achievements in internal and external policiesand expressed his belief that the Lao people would overcome alldifficulties and challenges to successfully implement the 9th Lao PartyCongress’ resolution.
He reiterated that Vietnamwill try its utmost to preserve, promote and pass on to nextgenerations the friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam andLaos for the prosperity, peace, stability, cooperation and developmentin the region and the world.
Earlier, theVietnamese delegation held talks with their counterparts from the LaoParty Central Committee's Commission for External Relations led by thecommission’s head Sounthone Sayachath.
Thetwo sides informed each other of situation in each country, discussedemerging issues in the region and the world and made assessments on theprogress and results achieved in the implementation of agreements signedby leaders of the two countries.
They alsoreviewed coordination and cooperation between the two commissions andoutlined cooperation orientations in the future with a focus on boostingcoordination and cooperation in instructing ministries and localgovernments to ensure the successful implementation of the agreementssigned by the two Parties and States.-VNA
