Hanoi (VNA) – Officials of the Party, the State and Hanoi burned incense to commemoratenational ancestors at the Thang Long Royal Citadel on January 28 or the fourthday of the first lunar month.  

The delegationincluded Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the CommunistParty of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Secretariat; Pham Minh Chinh,Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and head of the CPVCentral Committee’s Organisation Commission; and Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary ofthe CPV Central Committee and Chief of its Office, along with representativesof ministries and centrally-run agencies.

Secretary of the HanoiParty Committee Hoang Trung Hai, Chairman of the municipal People’s CommitteeNguyen Duc Chung and Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen ThiBich Ngoc also joined the delegation.  

Following theincense-offering ceremony, the officials planted trees and handed over gifts ofParty General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong to the staff of themanagement board of the citadel./.

Final-week tasks stressed ahead of NA, People’s Council election

National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong on March 7 led a working delegation to meet with the Election Committee of An Giang to inspect and supervise preparations for the election of deputies to the 16th legislature and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 tenure.

Bru–Van Kieu community in Quang Tri gear up for early voting

According to the provincial Election Committee, three polling stations in Truong Son commune – located in Hoi Ray, Nuoc Dang and Doc May villages – will organise voting on March 8, seven days before the nationwide election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure, to make it easier for residents in remote areas where travel remains difficult to cast their ballots.

2026 inspection-supervision decision for NA Party Committee's Standing Board announced
