Peruvian Coffee Week to be held in Vietnam for first time

A wide range of activities will be held during the Peruvian Coffee Week which is scheduled to be held from April 8 to April 15 for the first time in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Embassy of Peru in Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) - A wide range of activities will be held during thePeruvian Coffee Week which is scheduled to be held from April 8 to April 15 forthe first time in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, according to the Embassy of Peruin Vietnam.

The event aims to introduce and promote Peruvian specialty coffee to localconsumers, as well as coffee importers and exporters in Vietnam, Radio theVoice of Vietnam (VOV) cited the source as saying.

The Embassy will introduce six specialty coffees from four famous producers,aiming to develop the product in the Vietnamese market. It will also beparticipating in the International Coffee Exhibition (CafeShow 2023) held in HoChi Minh City, with a pavilion introducing premium coffee beans.

It is hoped that the Peruvian Coffee Week will attract coffee-lovers,professional baristas, roasters, and representatives of coffee shops from thetwo major cities, as well as those from foreign coffee importers and exporters,said the embassy.

According to statistics, Peru is the leading producer and exporter of organiccoffee, and the ninth largest coffee exporter in the world. Last year, Peruearned more than 3 million USD from shipping coffee to Vietnam./.
