Petrol prices rise by over 400 VND per litre

Retail petrol prices rose by more than 400 VND per litre from 3pm on January 21 following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

Hanoi (VNA) -  Retail petrol prices rose by more than 400 VND per litre from 3pm onJanuary 21 following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry andTrade and the Ministry of Finance.

The retail price of E5RON92 bio-fuel increased 436 VND to a maximum of 23,595 VND (1.04 USD) per litre,while that of RON95 rose 484 VND to no more than 24,360 VND per litre.

The prices of diesel 0.05S and kerosene, meanwhile, went up 664 VND and 655 VND per litre, respectively.

This is the second consecutive hike of petrol prices in 2022 and the third in a row.

Themanagement of petrol prices is to ensure the implementation of the goal of inflationcontrol and market stabilisation from the beginning of 2022, support people and businesses thatare facing difficulties due to the COVID-19, and encourage the use of biofuel toprotect the environment./.

Vietravel Airlines to add new route serving Lunar New Year travel peak

During the peak period of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival in 2026, Vietravel Airlines plans to operate six – eight flights daily on the Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi route, three flights daily on the Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh routes; and two flights daily on the Ho Chi Minh City – Quy Nhon route.

Can Tho–Ca Mau expressway fully opens from January 19

The new section, together with the Can Tho–Hau Giang segment that has been operating smoothly since late December last year, has completed the entire 110.85-km route. With total investment exceeding 27.52 trillion VND (1.04 billion USD), the four-lane expressway is built to modern standards and serves as a key transport artery linking major economic and political centres, industrial zones and seaports in the southwestern region.
