Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and Myanmar’s HTOO Group of Companies have recently signed a deal in Hanoi, under which they will explore the possibility of jointly doing business in Myanmar.
Petrolimex Chairman Bui Ngoc Bao hailed Myanmar as a promising oil and gas market and a golden land for investors in the region.
He expressed belief that the bilateral cooperation will thrive, especially in fields of Petrolimex’s strength such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, refinery, construction, and supply of oil and gas facilities.
In the near future, Petrolimex and its member companies will send teams to Myanmar to study the market and local laws to outline specific business plans.
HTOO General Director Pye Phyo Tay Za wished that the deal would open up a new period for bilateral ties.
During the visit, the HTOO delegation visited several Petrolimex units.-VNA
