Hehas approved the scrapping of five and reducing the size of six othersthat are set to come up in the five provinces of Ha Nam, Vinh Phuc, TayNinh, Ben Tre, and Tien Giang.

Another 16, which have been builtalready in Hoa Binh, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, Da Nang,Gia Lai, An Giang, and Can Tho, will also see their sizes reduced.

Four parks in Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, and Dong Thap will be enlarged.

ThePM urged all provincial people's committees to make efforts to speed upinvestment in industrial parks and the 10 provinces with the leastinvestment in industrial parks to report to him and the Ministry ofPlanning and Investment every six months.

The ministry togetherwith other relevant ministries and agencies now has to quickly submitthe master plan for industrial parks for the period up to 2020 for thecountry's remaining provinces, and supervise and assist localities inattracting investment.

The PM also ordered provinces to resolveall difficulties faced by investors, reduce the size of parks with lowefficiency, and review regulations related to detailed master plans,environment, land use in parks, compensation for land, and resettlementof people whose lands are acquired.

The PM asked industrial parks to have wastewater treatment systems at the earliest.-VNA
