PM arrives in China for WEF meeting, working sessions

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Dalian city, China’s Liaoning province on June 24 for the 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions and working sessions in the country from June 24 to 27.

Beijing (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Dalian city, China’s Liaoning province on June 24 for the 15th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting of the New Champions and working sessions in the country from June 24 to 27.

The PM was met at the airport by Liaoning Vice Governor Jin Guowei, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo, Vice Mayor of Dalian Leng Xuefeng, and Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai.

PM Chinh will attend and deliver speeches at the meeting’s sessions, co-chair a dialogue with leaders of WEF’s corporations with WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab, chair a forum with innovative enterprises, and have bilateral meetings with state leaders, international organisations, and WEF businesses.

He will also have talks and meetings with Chinese high-ranking leaders, hold working sessions with several Chinese economic organisations and corporations, and meet with staff of the Vietnamese representative offices in the country.

Chinh’s working trip aims at concretising the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress on enhancing and elevating the country’s multilateral foreign affairs towards 2030, helping deepen the Vietnam – China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, as well as build a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, and the sound relations with WEF./.
