Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on February 4 for 16 ambassadors andheads of Vietnamese representative offices who are going to take up missionsabroad.

The PM said representative offices abroad havean important role in promoting cooperation activities in politics, diplomacy, economy,culture and tourism.

Therefore, besides intensifying political anddiplomatic collaboration, heads of representative offices abroad must payspecial attention to promoting economic and trade cooperation, he said.

PM Phuc asked the diplomats to giverecommendations to the Party, State and relevant agencies about issues relatedto boosting production, export and trade exchanges. 

The PM also noted the need to help overseasVietnamese keep the traditional culture and promote the teaching and learning ofVietnamese language.

For their part, the ambassadors and heads of overseasrepresentative offices pledged to do their utmost to step up multi-facetedcooperation between Vietnam and other countries./.

Prime Minister meets with Cambodian People's Party, Senate leader

To further advance bilateral ties in the new era, the two leaders agreed to continue making full use of existing cooperation mechanisms across all channels, including meetings between the two Parties, promote exchanges between young leaders and youth from both countries, and expand cooperation between their legislative, executive and judicial bodies, people’s organisations and localities.

Vietnam, Cambodia seek to bolster all-round ties

This is PM Hung’s first official visit to Cambodia. It holds particular significance, demonstrating the high priority that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam attach to relations with Cambodia and contributing to further deepening the bilateral ties of “good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability”.
