PM concludes participation at ASEM 12, visits to EU, Belgium

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc left Brussels on October 19 afternoon (local time), concluding his attendance at the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit (ASEM 12), a working visit to the European Union and an official visit of Belgium.

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc left Brussels on October 19 afternoon (local time), concluding his attendance at the 12th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit (ASEM 12), a working visit to the European Union and an official visit of Belgium.
           
During the visit to Belgium, PM Phuc held talks with his Belgian counterpart Charles Michel and witnessed the signing of several cooperative documents. He also had meetings with King Phillippe, President of the Chamber of Representatives Siegfried Bracke, Minister-President of Belgium’s Wallonia region Willy Borsus and Minister-President of Flanders region Geert Bourgeois. 
           
The Vietnamese Government leader attended and delivered a speech at the Vietnam-EU business forum and had working sessions with a number of leading companies of Belgium and Europe.
           
Visiting the EU, PM Phuc had meetings with President of the EP President Antonio Tajani, Chairman of the EP’s International Trade Committee Bernd Lange. He also attended and spoke at the 16th Asia-Europe Business Forum.

At the ASEM 12, PM Phuc delivered a speech at the second plenary session.

On the sidelines of the summit, Phuc witnessed the signing of the Vietnam-EU Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade Voluntary Partnership Agreement (FLEGT-VPA),

PM Phuc held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of ASEM 12 with many foreign leaders, including EC President Jean – Claude Juncker, Premier of China Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg, PM of Slovenia Marjan Sarec, PM of Spain Pedro Sanchez, President of Mongolia Khaltamaagiin Battulga, PM of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, PM of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, PM of Finland Juha Sipila,  PM of the UK Theresa May, PM of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and PM of Greece Alexis Tsipras.-VNA
