PM examines Hau Giang’s social-economic development

At the meeting, the PM expressed his delight at the province’seconomic progress to become one of the leading localities in the regionon building new-style rural areas.

The PM alsohighlighted limitations, such as the scarcity of qualified labourers,limited technical infrastructure and lack of application of science andtechnology on production in the new stage of development.

He advised the province to take advantage of its strengths inagriculture and livestock breeding by innovating farming techniques toincrease income for farmers and develop irrigation systems.

The province’s Party Committee Secretary Huynh Minh Chac said HauGiang has completed Party Congresses at grassroots levels for 2015-2017with 22.5 percent new members.

The province hascompleted 17 of the 19 criteria for social-economic development from2011-2015 and intends to achieve the two remaining criteria this year,Chac said.-VNA

16th NA reviews amendments to four tax-related laws on April 21
