PM leaves for 22nd ASEAN Summit

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung leading a high-ranking delegation leftHanoi on April 24 to attend the 22nd ASEAN Summit at the invitation ofSultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah.

The PM’sentourage includes Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Deputy ForeignMinister cum Head of SOM ASE AN Pham Quang Vinh and VietnameseAmbassador to Brunei Nguyen Truong Giang.

Themed“Our People, Our Future Together”, the summit will focus on boostingcooperation and speeding up the building of the ASEAN Community,strengthening intra-regional connectivity, cooperation between ASEAN andits partners as well as other regional and international issues ofcommon concerns.

In the spirit of a proactive,active and responsible member of ASEAN, the Vietnam’s delegation willcontinue playing its positive role as seen in the past years, joiningthe group’s efforts in general and ASEAN Chair Brunei in particular tocontribute to the success of the event.-VNA

The dispatch states that in implementing Conclusion No. 18-KL/TW dated April 2, 2026 of the 14th Party Central Committee on the 2026–2030 socio-economic development plan, national finance, public debt management and medium-term public investment, linked to the goal of achieving double-digit economic growth, the Government on April 29 issued 11 resolutions on cutting, decentralising and simplifying administrative procedures, business conditions, and conditional business lines. The Prime Minister subsequently directed ministries, agencies and localities to implement these resolutions.

Vietnamese, Angolan foreign ministers hold talks in Hanoi

The Vietnamese FM proposed that the two sides strengthen political trust through high-level exchanges, while maintaining existing cooperation mechanisms, particularly the Vietnam–Angola Intergovernmental Committee and Political Consultations between the two foreign ministries.
