Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Le Hong Anh has emphasised the necessity to raise the quality of forecasting and combativeness in political ideology.
At a conference to review the popularisation and education work in 2011 and put forth tasks for 2012 that took place in central coastal Da Nang city on Jan. 13, Anh stressed the importance of enhancing the fight against corruption, wastefulness, negative phenomena and degradation in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle as well as other social evils.
He said that popularisation and education work should be renovated in content and activities to timely detect and settle emerging social issues and increase forecasting capacity and combativeness in political ideology.
He also praised the active contributions by the sector to the Party and country’s achievements in 2011.
The Commission for Popularisation and Education of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) and all levels and all sectors have thoroughly grasped the Party’s Resolution, the State’s policy, closely monitored the national and international situation, provided forecasts to the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party Committees and synchronously implemented popularisation and education tasks, he said.
He went on to say that results can be seen in political and ideological popularisation and education, press publications, arts and culture, education and training, science and technology, environment and other social issues.
For his part, Politburo member and member of the CPVCC Secretariat Dinh The Huynh spoke of the significance of the conference, as this was the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress and successful elections of the 13th National Assembly and People's Council at all levels for the 2011-16 term.
Despite difficulties and challenges in 2011, under the CPV leadership, the country’s popularisation and education sector has joined people nationwide to uphold the combined strength to settle social issues and encourage the entire Party, army and people to fulfil tasks in 2011, he said.
The conference defined an orientation and tasks in 2012 with a focus on improving the quality of the commissions and forecasting work.
The sector needs to promote popularisation of information to encourage the entire Party, army and people to implement socio-economic development, defence, security and external relations tasks. It has to be more proactive in the fight against peaceful evolution and degradation in Party members’ political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, said the conference./.
