Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Le Hong Anh received Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jose Jaua Milano in Hanoi on March 13.
At the reception, the guest praised the support from Vietnam to his country and to the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez as well as the constitutional government of President Nicolas Maduro.
He also highlighted the attendance of a delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) at the third national congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) last year.
The Venezuelan Vice President, who is also Politburo member and Vice President of the PSUV) expressed his hope that the two countries will intensify their partnership, focusing on the fields of energy, oil and gas, agriculture and consumer goods manufacturing industry.
In response, the CPV Politburo member said Vietnam and Venezuela should continue exchanging and sharing experiences in the fields of their strength, that are Venezuela’s energy and petroleum sector and Vietnam’s agro-forestry-seafood sector.
He briefed the guest on the CPV achievements and activities, including preparations for the 12 th National Party Congress.-VNA
