Quang Binh (VNA) – PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said he hopes Quang Binh province to bring a newstrong wind of change for the tourism sector.

Phuc shared his expectation at a workingsession with authorities of the central province on August 25.

The PM said with its advantages in naturalconditions and cultural heritage, services and tourism should be the foundationand the road to prosperity for Quang Binh.

Discussing specific solutions for theprovince’s development, Phuc asked the province to improve its planning qualityvia seeking advices from foreign experts.

Improving business climate and capacity ofhuman resources are also necessary, he added.

PM Phuc wants Quang Binh to focus localresources on developing a sustainable tourism management mechanism and buildinga professional strategy to promote the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park andSon Doong Cave, which are unique to Quang Binh.

At the session, most participants agreedthat Quang Binh has potentials to develop tourism as its spearheaded sector.

Representative from the Vietnam NationalAdministration of Tourism asked the PM to approve the incorporation of buildinga cable car route into the planning of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.The cable car route is set to span 5.2 km from the Ho Chi Minh road to En Cave.

Other suggested enhancing tourism linkbetween Quang Binh and Da Nang and Hue, while forming industrial connectionbetween Quang Binh and the Vung Ang Economic Zone.

Quang Binh has a 116.04-km coastal line anda 201.87 km border line with Laos. The province is famous for its cave systems,incredible mountain scenery and sprawling beaches. It is home to the UNESCOWorld Heritage Site Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park and the world’s largestcave Son Doong.-VNA
