Reference exchange rate down 5 VND on November 8

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,278 VND/USD on November 8, down 5 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,278 VND/USD on November 8, down 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,492 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,064 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw a slight decrease.

At 8:32am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,191 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,491 VND/USD, both down 6 VND from November 7.

BIDV posted the buying rate at 25,191 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,491 VND/USD, up 21 VND and down 6 VND, respectively./.
