More than 100 photos taken by photographers of Vietnam Pictorial, a VietnamNews Agency publication, show the beauty of Vietnam’s sea and islands acrossthe 3,000km of coastline, more than 3,000 islands of different sizes and 29million people living in 28 coastal localities.
Addressing the event, Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ho Minh Tuanstressed the importance of the exhibition in fostering the Vietnam-CzechRepublic friendship.
The three-day event is part of Vietnamese Embassy activities to introduce thenation and people of Vietnam to foreign friends in the Czech Republic, he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Hoang VinhBao said that in 2013, then Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung approved a strategyon sustainable exploitation of maritime resources and protecting the seaenvironment to 2020 with a vision to 2030.
The introduction of Vietnam’s sea and islands’ beauty and the lives ofislanders and coastal residents in areas that Vietnam has had sovereignty forgenerations is also part of the strategy, he said.
For her part, Czech Deputy Minister of Culture Anna Malouskova highlighted the culturalcooperation between the two countries over the years, expressing her hope that theexhibition will deepen Czech people’s understanding of Vietnam, thus strengtheningrelations between the two nations.-VNA
