Prepare for lychee season during COVID-19 pandemic

According to the Department of Agriculture of Bac Giang province, the province has 19 regional codes of lychee growing areas granted for export to Japan, with an area of 103 hectares.

Mr. Trinh Dinh Hao’s family is located in Binh Hao cooperative in Nam Duong commune, Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province.They have about 4 ha of lychee growing land with hundreds of lychee trees.

This year, each tree can be harvested up to 1 quintal of lychees and all 15 hectares of the cooperative's lychees reach the export standard for the Japanese market.

According to the Department of Agriculture of Bac Giang province, the province has 19 regional codes of lychee growing areas granted for export to Japan, with an area of 103 hectares.

Along with the reviewing process and distributing region codes for lychee growing areas, Bac Giang province is actively guiding farmers on how to grow lychee safely by using fertilizers and safe pesticides, by recording production diary...

At the same time, the province has invited domestic businesses to join the effort to export lychee to most demanding markets.

Now the province has 15.000 ha of lychee growing areas that has met VietGAP (accounting for 53% of the total lychee growing areas of the province) with production estimated at 110,000 tons.

Besides, lychee obtained GlobalGAP certification is about 80 hectares, the output is estimated at 500 tons for high-end markets./.
