State President Nguyen Minh Triet has emphasised necessity in ensuring socio-economic efficiency and protecting the environment in bauxite exploitation and processing.
While working with the Nhan Co Alumina Joint Stock Company in Dak R’Lap district of the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong on Jan. 7, President Triet affirmed that the bauxite exploitation and processing project is the Party and State’s priority to exploit natural resources to serve national development in industrialisation and modernisation, thus helping to improve lives in the Central Highlands.
The State leader also asked investors to select the best plan for tapping and processing bauxite and to consider exporting processed aluminium products instead of raw materials.
Investors should prioritize building infrastructure and seeking measures dealing with red mud or bauxite residue to prevent environmental pollution, he noted.
