HCM City (VNA) – President Nguyen XuanPhuc has lauded Truong Hai Group Corporation (THACO), a multi-industry holdingcorporation, for its contributions to national economic development.

Addressing a ceremony marking the 25th anniversaryof THACO in Ho Chi Minh City on December 11, the President expressed his impressionon what the corporation has brought about in the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone ,the central province of Quang Nam.

He described THACO as a successful model of theprivate economic sector while joining the process of economic restructuring andmodernisation, stressing that its successes demonstrate the favourable domesticenvironment.

The President used the occasion to urge Vietnameseeconomic groups, both State-owned and private, to be the pioneers in high-techresearch and application, and global market penetration, thus promotingnational brands.

THACO was asked to inspire others to embark on greeneconomy and circular economy, protect the environment, promote humane valuesand social progress, and pay more attention to labourers during operations.

The President also suggested the Government continueto roll out mechanisms and policies to promote advanced science-technology, andautonomy at research institutes, and encourage businesses to utilise newtechnologies to improve their productivity and competitiveness.

Phuc noted his belief that the corporation will reapmore successes, generate quality jobs for labourers, and contribute more to thestate budget.

Founded on April 29, 1997 in the southern provinceof Dong Nai, THACO has turned from a company which traded and repairedsecond-hand vehicles, THACO into a multi-industry holding corporation which hastwo  sub-holdings - THACO AUTO(automobiles) and THAGRICO (Agro-forestry production), and four subsidiaries –THACO INDUSTRIES (Mechanics & Supporting Industries), THADICO (Investment –Construction), THILOGI (Logistics) and THISO (Commerce – Service) in a highlyintegrated and complementary model./.

Hanoi strengthens oversight of transition to E10 biofuel

To ensure compliance with the transition roadmap, the Hanoi Market Surveillance Sub-Department has requested petrol traders to proactively review and upgrade storage tanks, fuel pumps and other technical conditions necessary for E10 distribution, thereby preventing disruptions to fuel supply serving consumption and production demands across the capital.

Authorities ordered to closely monitor rollout of E10 biofuel from June 1

According to the agency, the move is aimed at ensuring the effective and synchronised implementation of the E10 transition roadmap under Circular No. 50/2025/TT-BCT, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on November 7, 2025.
