Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang on March19  received Ambassador of the UnitedArab Emirates (UAE) to Vietnam Khalid Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtani, whocame to say goodbye before ending his tenure.

Praising the diplomat’s contributions to enhancing the bilateralfriendship and multifaceted cooperation during his four-year tenure, thePresident highlighted his efforts in linking the Vietnamese Ministry ofIndustry and Trade and the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry to organiseseveral business forums between the two countries, particularly the Dubai –Vietnam trade forum in Hanoi in November last year.

Quang said he believes the two sides will continueimplementing their agreements as well as boosting the exchange of businessdelegations and trade promotion activities.

The Vietnamese leader expressed his delight at progressesmade in Vietnam – UAE relations in recent years, stressing that the UAE isamong top trade and investment partners of Vietnam in the Middle East.

The UAE is the 7th biggest trade partner ofVietnam, with bilateral trade surpassing 6 billion USD annually in the pastthree years.

Quang noted his expectation that the outgoing diplomat willcontinue contributing to the Vietnam – UAE friendship and collaboration in hisnew post.

For his part, Khalid Ibrahim Abdulaziz Shohail Al-Qahtanithanked Vietnam’s agencies and sectors for their cooperation with and supportfor him during his tenure in the country.

The UAE highly values upbeat outcomes of its cooperationwith Vietnam, the ambassador said, adding that these achievements have placedthe UAE among the top ten trade partners of Vietnam.-VNA

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
