President receives Bulgaria’s NA Chairwoman

President Truong Tan Sang welcomed the Chairwoman of Bulgaria’s NationalAssembly, Tsetska Tsacheva, after she arrived in Hanoi on April 16.

President Sang said her visit will help to enhance the already established strong friendship the two countries share.

He thanked the Bulgarian people for supporting Vietnam during its struggle for national independence.

The President said he is delighted at the positive development ofpolitical ties between the two countries, which, he said, is animportant foundation to expand cooperation in every field.

The President believes that the friendship between the two countriesgives Vietnamese businesses an excellent opportunity to penetrate the EUmarket and said that Vietnam would gladly act as a bridge to linkBulgaria with the ASEAN market.

Tsacheva saidthat the top level political dialogue between the two countries hasproduced positive outcomes and confirmed that her visit is to furtherrelations in the context of a changing world.

Shepraised the efforts made by over 30,000 Vietnamese citizens, who arestudying and working in Bulgaria , adding that the presence ofVietnamese businesses in Bulgaria will help them access the EU market,as Bulgaria is an EU member.

Later the sameday, Tsacheva met with Le Hong Anh, Politburo member and a standingmember of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat.

Anh described Tsacheva’s visit as the result of the friendship andlevel of cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria .

Vietnam always attaches a lot of importance to its relations with traditional friends, including Bulgarian, he said.

He stated that the Vietnamese Party supports the development of closerties between the two legislative bodies and believes that this willenhance the relationship between the two states and peoples.

Tsacheva briefed her host on Bulgaria ’s current situation and the outcomes of her talks with other Vietnamese leaders.

The Bulgarian National Assembly is keen to work more with theVietnamese National Assembly to exchange their experience in creatinglegislation.

She pledged to make an all-out effortto contribute to developing the friendship between the two legislativebodies and peoples.-VNA
