Da Nang (VNA) – PresidentVo Van Thuong and a delegation of National Assembly deputies of central Da Nang citymet with local voters on June 28 to inform them about the outcomes of the 15th NA’s fifth session, listen to and clear up their petitions.
Many constituents at the meeting spoke highly of the results of the fifthsession and put forth petitions regarding various issues of public concern to the NA, Government and relevant agencies.
PresidentThuong assured them that the Party and State consistently lead and direct thefight against corruption and negative phenomena with a high politicaldetermination at both central and local levels, without anyforbidden zones or exceptions.
The fight has indeed beencarried out in the right direction, and in fact, it has become even moredrastic in a more synchronous manner from the central level to cities andprovinces, he said.
Loopholesin mechanisms have also been reviewed and plugged so that degraded officials and publicservants do not have opportunities to take unfair advantage of legal loopholes for personal gains or for their interest groups.
Strict actions have alsobeen taken against officials who have a backward mindset, avoidresponsibilities, and seek safety by doing nothing, he said, adding that it isalso part of the Party building and rectification work which needs to continue in thecoming time.
Aboutproposals to conduct a comprehensive inspection on the electricity sector, the State leader said this issue will beseriously addressed in the near future.
Regarding the lack of medicinesand medical equipment, he said it will be promptly fixed to ensure properhealth care for the people.
