Prime Minister meets with Philippine President

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and President of the Philippines Benigno Aquino affirmed the necessity to implement ASEAN’s six-point principles on the East Sea and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea .

They also noted the soon building of the Code of Conduct between ASEANand China in the East Sea during their meeting in Phnom Penh ,Cambodia , on November 18 outside the 21 st ASEAN Summit.

The two leaders agreed the two nations have much in common and sharemutual concerns, which they described as a basis to enhance bilateralrelations to anew height.

Dung expressed his thanks to thePhilippines Government for reaching a preliminary agreement with theMoro Islamic Liberation Front and expressed his hope that the countrywill gain long-term peace and stability.

They also agreedthat AEAN should bring into play its central role in the region and saidthey believe that the success of the summit and relevant conferenceswill contribute to the building of the ASEAN community by 2015 as wellas international and regional peace, stability and development.-VNA

The state visit to Belarus by Party General Secretary To Lam, his spouse, and the high-level Vietnamese delegation marks a new impetus for strengthening and expanding bilateral ties. NA endorses 10% preferential tax rate for all press agencies

To affirm the Party and State’s commitment to supporting the press, the NA Standing Committee has adopted the government’s proposal to apply a uniform preferential corporate tax rate of 10% to all types of press. This move aligns with the current tax incentives for print newspapers.
