Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will give more information about some issues within the remit of the Government and field queries of legislators on the last day of the question-and-answer (Q&A) session on November 1.
The PM will be the last Cabinet member to go before the National Assembly (NA) during the three days designated for Q&A on the working programme of the ongoing sixth session of the 14th parliament.
On October 31, many NA deputies questioned and debated with Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Le Minh Tri, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, Inspector General of the Government’s Inspectorate Le Minh Khai, and some ministers.
Issues mentioned at the hearing included revising inappropriate regulations on education, increasing coordination with businesses in vocational training, suing for administrative decisions, and handling harmful information on the internet.
Lawmakers also grilled Cabinet members about e-government building, functions and tasks of the inspection apparatus of the natural resources and environment sector, the establishment of the right to ownership of invested assets on land, solutions to pollution in the Nhue and Day river basins, post-equitisation land management, regional connectivity in tourism development, preservation of cultural heritage of ethnic minorities, and overlapping inspection activities.
A new point in the current Q&A session is that deputies do not question according to groups of issues, but instead focusing on matters related to Government members’ realisation of their promises.
NA deputies noted that most Government members had given straightforward and to-the-point answers along with specific solutions to the problems they were asked about.
The last day of the Q&A session will continue to be broadcast live by the Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam.-VNA
