Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has ordered prompt actions to deal with consequences of an occupational accident at the Giang Dien Industrial Park in the southern province of Dong Nai that killed 10 people and injured many others.
An under-construction wall in the park, located in Trang Bom district, collapsed on May 14 afternoon, causing the severe consequences.
In a notice sent to the provincial People’s Committee and the Ministries of Public Security and Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, PM Phuc expressed his deepest sympathy to the families of the victims.
He asked Dong Nai to swiftly carry out the search work, provide medical treatment for the injured and take timely measures in support of the victims' families.
The Ministry of Public Security and the committee have been tasked with instructing competent forces to investigate the case and strictly handle violations in line with legal regulations, and report the results to the PM.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs should direct localities to enhance work safety assurance and regularly inspect construction works, resolutely suspending unsafe projects, the leader said./.
