The top 12 women’s and men’s teams will take part in the PV Oil Volleyball League, which will open in the northern provinces of Phu Tho and Yen Bai on April 4.
They will be divided into two groups and will compete in a two-leg round robin format.
Teams will compete for total cash prizes of 432 million VND (20,500 USD) in the first leg which will take place from April 4-11.
The top two teams from each group will go on to face off for the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup at the Viet Tri Gymnasium in Phu Tho from April 15-18.
Tran Duc Phan, general secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, said the tournament is the best in the country and will help selectors pick the top players for the national team.
Foreign players will not be eligible to take part this year.-VNA
