The central coastal province of Quang Binh aims to welcome 4.3 million tourists in 2019, including 250,000 foreigners, and gross over 4.5 trillion VND (191.9 million USD) in revenue.

Quang Binh (VNA) – The centralcoastal province of Quang Binh aims to welcome 4.3 million tourists in 2019,including 250,000 foreigners, and gross over 4.5 trillion VND (191.9 millionUSD) in revenue.

Deputy Director of the provincial Department ofTourism Dang Dong Ha said that in order to realise these goals, the tourismsector must continue diversifying and improving the quality of its products andservices at popular sites such as the Thien Duong, Phong Nha, and Tien Soncaves; Nuoc Mooc spring; the botanical gardens; and Chay River– Toi cave.

It will also push to develop a variety ofbranches, such as marine, resort, adventure, and ecological.

The province will continue introducing newtourism products, including festival tours and meeting, incentive, convention,and exhibition (MICE) tourism, as well as promote its strengths in spiritual,cultural, historical, and community-based tourism.

Ha said developing tourism must be associatedwith the protection and preservation of the ecological environment.

Quang Binh is home to nearly 300 touristaccommodation facilities and 40 active travel companies, including 14international ones.

In 2018, Quang Binh has greeted over 3.9 millionvisitors, a year-on-year rise of 18.2 percent – including 200,000 foreigntourists, up 53.8 percent.

The tourism sector has raked in nearly 4.5trillion VND (over 192 million USD) in revenue this year, up 20.3 percent.

Quang Binh boasts richtourism resources for Vietnam and Southeast Asia. It is home to the UNESCO World Heritage SitePhong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and the world’s largest cave Son Doong.

The province also has the longest coastline inVietnam, with beautiful beaches and specialseafood dishes. It was chosen as one ofthe filming destinations of Hollywood blockbuster movie“Kong: Skull Island”. –VNA

2025 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival to be held next month
