Hanoi (VNA) - Quang Ninh Coal hope to beat Singapore’s Home United in thethird Group H match set for April 5 at the AFC Cup 2017 at the My Dinh NationalStadium.

QuangNinh Coal are at the bottom with one point in the group. If the team wants toadvance, they must win their two remaining matches. Home United rank secondwith three points and Yadanarbon FC of Myanmar are on top with four points.

Earlier,Quang Ninh failed to register their first win at the Cup after losing 2-3 toHome United in Singapore.

“Wehave only one point after two matches, however, we still have a chance to enterthe event’s next round,” said coach Phan Thanh Hung.

“Wehave prepared carefully for the game. We have enough skillful players to earnthree points. The return of Thanh Hien is glad news,” Hung added.

GoalkeeperHuynh Tuan Linh is very confident going into the match.

“Welost three goals in the first leg match against Home United. In the second legmatch, we will try to defend our goal and score against our rival,” said Linh.

QuangNinh will be missing Thanh Hao and Nguyen Sa because of injury. However, Linhand captain Vu Minh Tuan are very strong after a long  journey from Tajikistan to Vietnam. Linh and Tuanjoined the national team to compete in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup2019.

Meanwhile,coach Aidil Sharin Sahak and his players are also very confident to play theVietnamese team.

“Thereare not any weak teams in the AFC Cup. Each team has private strong points. Sodo Yadanarbon and Quang Ninh Coal. We respect all rivals. For Quang Ninh, Ithink that they own as many quality players. Among them, I like Tambwe Patiyo, VuMinh Tuan and Mac Hong Quan,” said Sahak.

“Weare ready for the coming match and we will win,” Sahak added.

Thematch will begin at 6pm. Entrance is free.

HanoiFC on April 4 defeated Singapore’s Tampines Rovers with a 4-0 win, marking thefirst victory in Group G at the AFC Cup 2017.-VNA

Vietnam team ranks third at Wushu Taolu Asian Cup 2025

The standout achievement came in the Sanda (combat) events, where Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hien claimed gold medals after impressive victories over opponents from China and Hong Kong (China), respectively.
