Quang Ninh gears up for National Tourism Year 2018

Many localities of the northern province of Quang Ninh has actively built their plans in service of the National Tourism Year Ha Long-Quang Ninh 2018.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Many localities of the northern provinceof Quang Ninh has actively built their plans in service of the National TourismYear Ha Long-Quang Ninh 2018.

The People’s Committee of Ha Long city has asked concerned forces to ensuresafety for tourists, while maintaining regular inspections on shops and tourismfacilities to prevent the selling of low quality and fake commodities andovercharging.

The management board of world heritage Ha Long Bay was asked to detectand handle all violations relating to the environment and security in the bay,while receiving feedback and complaints of tourists through its tourismhotlines.

The provincial People’s Committee also requested localities across theprovince to focus on developing tourism products highlighting the culturalidentities of each ethnic minority in the province as well as the uniquefeatures of festivals.

Notably, Hoanh Bo district will host a number of activities, including afestival of the Dao people, a spring flower festival, a national parachutecontest, a King Le Thai Tho’s Temple festival, and other tourism promotionactivities such as a video-making and photo contest on Hoanh Bo tourism.

Meanwhile, Dong Trieu town will organise seminars for locals to givethem guidelines on hosting tourists.-VNA

Vietnam tourism promoted at Canadian travel, vacation show

Do Ha Thao, Secretary in charge of cultural affairs at the embassy, said that visitors show great interest in the Vietnamese booth, asking for information about tours and promotional programmes. Some of the visitors had previously been to Vietnam and wish to return.

Binh Thuan province remains tourist magnet

In the first three months, the province welcomed 2.6 million visitors, including 152,000 foreigners, up nearly 14% and 17% year-on-year, respectively. Tourism revenue surpassed 7 trillion VND, marking a year-on-year rise of 16%.

Hanoi is popularising its cultural heritage sites, and transforming historical, architectural, religious, and cultural monuments into distinctive tourism products. Featured attractions include the Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Co Loa Ancient Citadel, and the Temple of Literature.

Vietnam in’l travel mart 2025 opens in Hanoi

This year’s event features over 450 booths from more than 600 organisations and businesses, including participants from 56 Vietnamese provinces and cities and 16 countries and territories. Green tourism remains a key focus, with exhibitors showcasing eco-friendly products and experiences.
