Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved the inclusion of Quang Ninh province’s Quang Yen economic zone, which covers anarea of 13,303 hectares, into the master plan for the development ofcoastal economic zones by 2020.

The Government leader assigned the northern province ofQuang Ninh to take responsible for the accuracy of data and the zone’s area andlocation.

The establishment of the Quang Yen economic zone must followexisting laws to ensure it does not have negative impacts on the environment,defence-security or the life of local people.

The adjustment is required to conform to related planning aswell as legal regulations to avoid possible conflicts and lawsuits.

The Prime Minister also asked the province to choosesuitable investors and synchronously develop infrastructure inside and outsidethe economic zone to ensure connectivity between it and other economicdevelopment zones./.
