Reference exchange rate down 1 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,213 VND/USD on July 21, down 1 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate forthe US dollar at 23,213 VND/USD on July 21, down 1 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of  +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercialbanks during the day is 23,912 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,519 VND/USD.

Theopening-hour rates at many commercial banks saw increases.

BIDV added 25 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,290 VND/USD andthe selling rate at 23,570 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Vietcombanklisted the buying rate at 23,250 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,560VND/USD, unchanged from July 20./.

First “green lane” durian shipment exported to China

​Under the “green lane” process, quality control begins at the cultivation stage, including soil sampling and monitoring, and continues through harvesting and processing, with traceability labels attached to trees and applied to fruit at the time of picking. It also allows plant quarantine procedures and the issuance of certificates of origin (C/O) directly in the localities where the orchards are located.
