The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,249 VND per USD on May 20, down 10 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,249 VND per USD on May 20,down 10 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbanks during the day is 23,946 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,551 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at somecommercial banks saw strong reductions.

At 8:25am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,160 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,370 VND/USD, both down 60 VND from May 19.

At BIDV, bothrates were adjusted down 65 VND to 23,185 VND/USD (buying), and 23,365 VND/USD(selling).

Meanwhile, Techcombank cut 64 VND from bothrates, listing the buying rate at 23,170 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,370VND/USD./.
