With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,950 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,555 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at some commercial banks saw mixed fluctuations.
At 8:25am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,230 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,440 VND/USD, up 10 VND from the same time on May 13.
The rates listed by BIDV were listed at 23,279 VND/USD (buying), and 23,450 VND/USD (selling), both up 25 VND.
Meanwhile, Techcombank reduced both rates by 16 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,249 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,449 VND/USD./.
