Reference exchange rate down for third consecutive day

The daily reference exchange rate was adjusted down for the third consecutive day on June 8, set at 22,558 VND/USD, down 4 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The daily reference exchange rate was adjusted down for the third consecutive day on June 8, set at 22,558 VND/USD, down 4 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,235 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,884 VND/USD.

 The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw slight fluctuations.

Vietcombank raised the buying rate by 10 VND to 22,780 VND/USD and the selling rate by 30 VND to 22,870 VND/USD.

Meanwhile BIDV reduced both rates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,760 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,830 VND/USD.

At Techcombank, the greenback is being bought at 22,740 VND/USD, down 5 VND, and sold at 22,845 VND/USD, up 5 VND from June 7.-VNA
