With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,350 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,992 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to see mixed changes.
Vietcombank kept both rates unchanged from August 8 at 23,265 VND/USD (buying) and 23,345 VND/USD (selling).
The rates at BIDV were adjusted down 10 VND to 23,255 VND/USD (buying) and 23,335 VND/USD (selling).
Vietinbank cut both rates by 13 VND, buying the greenback at 23,248 VND/USD and selling at 23,328 VND/USD.
The reference exchange rate was kept unchanged for two consecutive days this week before going down today.-VNA
